Cookery talent Elly Curshen, otherwise known as her pseudonym Elly Pear, is set to join the ranks of cookery and food experts Ella Woodward, Jack Monroe and Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley when her debut cookbook Fast Days and Feast Days is published by HarperThorsons in 2016.

The owner of Bristol's popular The Pear Café - known for its homemade soups, frittatas and sandwiches - and food columnist for InStyle, Pear espouses the 5:2 diet which sees participants eating 500 calories two days a week. Fast Days and Feast Days is set to include 100 recipes inspired by both world cooking and local produce, along with a range of topics including shopping well, avoiding waste and cooking in a way that's both tasty and nutritious. It's sure to be one of the most exciting cookery debuts of 2016.
